BFF - Big Family Fun: Day 1; Friday

Yay...we're so excited...here we are back again in wonderful Hawaii. We arrived to Honolulu Airport around 7am local time and took our time.
We had to chuck our 2 (royal gala) apples, 2 bananas & 2 Mandrins that we took on the plane for a snack (I hope someone in customs at least ate the apples, I wonder if they're allowed to do that?) otherwise got through customs with no hassle. Got outside to the the beautiful Hawaiian summer and Hawaiian music on the airwaves. Sat down and called the car rental place...found the shuttle easily enough which took us straight to Dollar car rentals where we picked up our cute little run around.
Not the Mustang convertible we had last time but it does the same job...Chevrolet Spark..

It looks like a 3 door but its 5...I wanted to make sure we had space for the shopping!

With almost no refresher at all Shaun jumped in the car ready to drive off...he just needed to find the steering wheel which was on the other side of the car...lol...ok start again Hun!

What to do now...go get a towel and lie on a beach somewhere and get some sleep...hmmm wheres the Walmart...too far..."I know" I said with no sound of alterior motive at all.."how bout Ross I'm sure they have towels!! Look GPS says only 9 minutes away." And off we went to visit Uncle Ross. Over 2 hours and $200 later we had our towel...and a bit more.

I dont know wat I'm doing with my face..keep in mind I just got off a 9 hour flight!

Off we go again...to find the cousins palace...success..! We find Andre and Haunani on their 5th wedding anniversary day - with their beautiful family, one super lucky overstaying Aunty, and the best view in Oahu!

We have a big list of what to eat and do while we are here but when we're with them we let them choose cos we know they know all the best places...we get 'Yooncys' Korean for dinner in proxy for Jules and the girls x I choose to sit in the back of the truck with Shaun while we cruise the streets of Honolulu for dinner... what a life...you just can't help BUT relax while you're here.

Its great seeing these guys again and spending some quality time with them. Their beautiful girls make me miss my babies....and hope they're being good for Aunty Kiri...We take our scrum-diddly-ump-tious dinner plates to Ala Moana park and chill out there until the Friday night fireworks start which the men take complete credit for as anniversary gifts for their wives...lol! Good job guys!

Next: We're off to Zippys to get battered banana awesomeness for desert which we take home to devour...Shaun starts getting ready for bed but we decide to double date with the anniversary couple and go to the 10.15pm movies...why not? We can sleep tomorrow, Andre is off work for the night and hey, we're on holiday! What better movie to see when we're in Hawaii...? ALOHA...not a completely lame movie but not completely cool either...lol...what is cool is the movie tour we had afterwards on the way home.
